Building a viable recording interface is a huge project. Video and audio synchronization is a major hurdle , let alone UI controls in a uncluttered easily understood format.
Not everyone is tech savvy, and many will always compare any future site with the one that did the job for them regardless how badly their old favorite was.
It’s easy to forget how many times you cussed at the lag spikes, poor video quality, chirping audio playback and other reasons why you didn’t participate as much as you would have liked. Bandhub went through it’s growing pains, and sometimes the pains were way beyond torment and frustration, but it gradually improved to an acceptable level and generally worked on a good day of reasonable efforts. Now dkse.com is taking a bold step to try and re-create a working interface similar to Bandhub. Can it be done ?, i’m thinking yes, but with great effort and tireless testing with dedicated supporters. Will it be viable and interesting to the old Bandhub musicians ? . I’m guessing no on that one. Although many may stick around a while to see what’s going on, the major bulk of Bandhubs users have separated into many groups of variable versions that promote their own methods of recording and collaborations. All we can hope for is some respectable success to encourage old musician friends to join the cause.
As with any project like this, the respect of former Bandhub musicians to support this site is paramount.
It’s obvious dske.com is not in this for itself, but rather for each and every one of you, to again bring former musicians and singers together to create more awesome music together. I’m willing and able to be on the alpha/beta teams for future testing when available. Are you willing to help ?

    Thank you Bob,
This is a group effort and any help is appreciated. All programmers are welcome to contact me if they can contribute their time. Bob is correct that this is a huge project. We will have growing pains along the way. We are taking baby steps to achieve the goal. Some of you may ask “what is the point?”. With both Bandhub and Ourjamz going down because of money issues. Well this site at this point does not cost much right now. The only thing that is a big expense is the cost of development. Paying a programmer to sit and program all day long costs money. I contributed the platform and the connection. I need help with the code that will take us to where we want to be. Transparency is key here. I will always be honest about what is going on. If something better comes along then great. Right now our choices are limited. I am not in this for the money. Anyone that thinks this is a money making venture is taking the wrong approach. Maybe it will turn into something, I don’t know. Seeing places like redKaraoke take in almost 4 million a year makes me think this type of thing may be able to make money someday. But that is not our goal at this time. Our goal is to bring a video/audio recording experience to you. This is your site. All of you.
